Confirmado: Apple va a utilizar CPUs de Intel.

Steve Jobs confirmo hoy que finalmente Apple utilizará CPUs Intel en su próxima generación de máquinas. A continuación más información al respecto…
Dijo que el proyecto ya lleva 5 años, y que durante ese tiempo han estado compilando todas las Mac en plataformas Intel y también comenta cuales son algunas de las razones por las que migran de IBM a Intel.

Vale aclarar que en ningún momento nombran a Intel Pentium, sino que solo se nombra Intel, por lo que es de suponer que Intel (si el proyecto lleva 5 años como Steve dice) halla estado desarrollando un procesador PowerPC (esto está relacionado con el contrato que firmaron Apple e IBM en el cual IBM cedería (¿todas?) las patentes y copyrights que hagan falta en caso de no cumplir con ciertas expectativas de parte de Apple (Al parecer, un par son las que nombra arriba, los 3Ghz y la portable de 1Ghz).
